Lens Lingo, Decoded.

We skipped the science lecture. Here is exactly what you need to know to pick the perfect pair.

The Specs

The total width of the lens from edge to edge.

The width of the printed color area. This determines how "big" your eyes will look.

The curvature of the lens. Think of it as your eye's "shoe size." (Standard is usually 8.6mm).

How much water is in the lens material.

The strength of your prescription. "0.00" means non-prescription (Plano).

Duration

Wear once, throw away. The most hygienic option.

Lasts up to 30 days once opened. Requires cleaning and storage.

Lasts up to 12 months. Durable, but needs strict hygiene.

Style & Design

The dark outer ring of the lens. A thick limbal ring creates a "doll-like" look; no limbal ring looks more natural.

How much the lens covers your natural eye color. High opacity is best for dark eyes.

The clear center part where you see through. A tighter pupil hole blocks more natural eye color but may limit peripheral vision slightly.

Material & Safety

The Gold Standard. The classic, super-soft material we use. It holds water well and feels like a gentle gel cushion on your eye. Perfect for all-day comfort without the dryness.

The "Hype" Material. Often marketed as "breathable," but more oxygen doesn't always mean more comfort. Many users find it dries out faster and feels "filmy" or unstable compared to classic lenses. Not necessary for everyone.

Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for safety.
