Here's the 5-step process. Pay attention.
How to Wear?
Do
1. Inspect The Goods First. (New!)
Before you even crack open the vial or blister, check the label. Right power? Right color? Lens looks intact? Once you open it, you own it. If something looks wrong, keep it sealed and DM us.
2. The "Soak Before You Slay" Rule. (CRITICAL!)
New lenses come in "factory saline" designed for storage, not for your eyes. It stings like crazy. You MUST soak them in your own fresh solution for at least 6-8 hours (or overnight) before wearing. Don't get too thirsty—patience pays off.
3. Scrub Like a Surgeon.
Wash your hands with oil-free, fragrance-free soap and dry them with a lint-free towel. Why? Because water residue and towel lint are the enemies of a clear view.
4. The "Bowl vs. Plate" Check.
Before inserting, put the lens on your finger tip. If it looks like a perfect "U" (bowl), it's correct. If the edges flare out like a soup plate, it's inside out. Flip it, or it will feel scratchy.
5. The "Rub & Rinse" Technique.
Even if you use "No-Rub" solution, don't believe it. Gently rubbing the lens in your palm for 10 seconds removes protein buildup that soaking alone can't fix. It keeps your vision sharper for longer.
6. Treat Your Lens Case Like a Toothbrush.
Rinse it with fresh solution (never water), wipe it with a clean tissue, and let it air-dry face down every single day. Replace it every 3 months. No exceptions.
Do not
1. Don't Wear Straight From the Bottle. (New!)
We said it once, we'll say it again: Factory liquid = Ouch. It contains preservatives that will make your eyes red and angry. Rinse and soak them first. Always.
2. Don't Mix Water and Lenses.
Tap water, swimming pools, and showers are strictly off-limits. Water contains microorganisms (like Acanthamoeba) that can cause serious infections. If you swim, use goggles or toss the lenses after.
3. Don't Sleep With Them.
Your cornea needs oxygen to breathe. Sleeping in lenses cuts off that oxygen supply, leading to red veins and high infection risk. Naps count too—take them out.
4. Don't "Top Off" Your Solution.
Adding fresh solution to old liquid is like washing your face in dirty bathwater. It breeds bacteria. Dump it out and use 100% fresh solution every time.
5. Don't Overwear.
Dailies are for one day. Monthlies are for 30 days (from opening). Don't try to stretch a dollar at the cost of your eye health. It’s not worth it.
